No Sweeping Powers with Agencies to Snoop, Interception Only for Legitimate State Interest: Govt to SC

The Centre, in an affidavit responding to petitions against the December 20 notification, said that the order in fact restricted unlawful and unauthorised surveillance by streamlining the procedure of interception under the IT Act.
